About Us
Glenelg Community Hospital is a Not-for Profit hospital located in the seaside suburb of Glenelg South and is fully licensed with inpatient rooms, day surgery, two operating theatres and two procedure rooms. The Hospital provides planned day and short stay elective surgical services to the community including general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery amongst others.
Role Description
This is a volunteer role for a Board Treasurer at Glenelg Community Hospital Inc. The Board Treasurer will provide a focus for necessary and relevant inputs with Board members towards interpretation of financial statements, financial planning, budgeting and accounting. Tasks may include analysing financial reports, assisting to develop financial strategies and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Board Treasurer will work closely with the Board of Directors to support the organisation's financial management.
Qualifications/Experience
- Professional qualification or degree in finance or related field
- Experience in accounting and financial management
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
- Board Governance and strong analytical skills
- Experience or understanding of the non-profit health sector is desired but not required
